The mission of Saints Philip and James School is to provide our students with a solid academic foundation and to prepare them for a personally fulfilling, successful and value-based future. These values are based in the humanist tradition of the Catholic-Christian faith.
This Mission is rooted in 3 Main Tenets:
We believe that quality Catholic-Christian centered education is an education of the entire human person and as such, requires a particular set of educational priorities, which serve to fulfill the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical needs of our student body.
We believe that we are a Catholic-Christian community, which has been called to demonstrate, in our day-to-day interaction with one another, those values, and attitudes, which are derived from our belief in the One-Trinitarian God. Recognizing that Catholic-Christian community is both a gift and a task, we believe that each individual must actively work to build Christian community and that personal and communal prayer is fundamental to this purpose.
We believe that a school’s mission can be effective only with the support of parents/guardians/care-givers, who are the primary educators of a child(ren). Furthermore, we believe that the school can, and should, assist parents/guardians/care-givers in all those educational aspects, which pertain to their children.
